They say that nothing is more exciting than
a field trip. That is exactly what the students of Std VI, VII and VIII
experienced on the day of the trip. I.e. the 14th of February. We
visited the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja Vastu Sanghralaya (CSMVS), formerly
known as the Prince Of Wales Museum as part of our educational trip. We were
well equipped with pens, pencils and a notebook to note down important points
and draw some sketches of our observations.
In the museum we were delighted to see the
birds and the animals - here we were guided by an officer. In other sections, we
were introduced to many glorious moments of the past through sculptures,
paintings and artefacts. We also got the opportunity to see the personal
collections of some great personalities as well as weapons used by great
emperors. We did manage to get a glimpse of nearly everything in the museum in
the allotted time. On our way back, in the bus, time was spent in discussion and
exchange of notes during the visit.
This educational trip gave us an immense
knowledge. We learnt new things and understood the deeper relevance of such
enriching educational field trips.
